Examples of Lightroom's ability to make so-so photos dynamic.
For the top photo I changed the black and contrast in LR and changed the hue in Photoshop (which is easier than in LR) On the left (three horses) I jacked up the black and saturation to give it a more painted and less realistic look.

For the single horse I brought the contrast down, brightness up and applied a vignette.
